Excelling Academic Excellence
Sigma Nu posted a 2.95 GPA for the Spring 2009 semester ranking them #1 amongst 15 NIU fraternities.  This is comparable to the NIU all men's GPA of 2.75, and the University-wide average of 2.88.  Sigma Nu has been ranked either #1 or #2 out of 15 fraternities each of the last six semesters since returning to NIU.
New Photos!
Check out new photos of the 2009 Bid Dinner, the Eta Class Softball Game and the Study Room in use.

New Executive Room/Library
Thanks to a very nice donation from the housing corporation we recently added and finished our new Executive Room/ Library in the house.  It is a perfect environment for the brothers to study quietly or hold committee meetings.  Check out pictures of the new room under the photo album tab.

Sigma Nu Leadership Continues
Sigma Nu has a history of holding positions in the Student Association.  In fact, Sigma Nu had 9 of it's members on the SA during 2008-2009, more than all other fraternities combined.  Sigma Nu secured two more key positions at the end of the spring 2009 semester.  Congratulations to Erik Calmeyer on being elected to Vice President of the Student Association and Jonathon Kite for being elected to President of the Residence Hall Association.  We would like to recognize outgoing SA President, our brother, Brent Keller, for all of his accomplishments during his term and representing Sigma Nu with distinction.
New Alumni
We are happy to announce 14 of our brothers successfully graduated this past school year.  This group of men represented a large portion of our Alpha class and was a big part of bringing Sigma Nu back to the NIU campus 3 years ago.  Their accomplishments in their time at NIU as well as their contributions to Sigma Nu Theta Eta are many and will be remembered for a long time.  We wish them well in their lives after college and can't wait to see them around the house again.

New Home
Sigma Nu moved into our new home on August 1st, 2008!  Our growth has forced us out of our last 11 bedroom house and into a much larger 24 bedroom house at 924 Greenbrier.  Our new chapter house has a capacity of 48 men, ample parking and a highly visible, premier location on Greek row.
