Sigma Nu is NIU’s premier fraternity
...but don’t just take our word for it. We took home more group and individual awards than any other NIU fraternity at the recent Greek Awards and received the prestigious “Four Star Chapter” in 2009 from the University administration. Since our return to campus, Sigma Nu’s GPA has ranked #1 four times and #2 three times amongs the fifteen NIU fraternities. We’ve always ranked above the All-Men’s GPA and posted an impressive 2.95 GPA in the fall 2009 semester. These achievements earned us “Highest GPA on IFC” and the “IFC Scholarship Award” from the university.
Leadership
Sigma Nu is also NIU's premier leadership fraternity. We have more of our members in positions of student leadership than any other of the fourteen NIU fraternities. An unprecedented 3 of the last 6 Student Government Presidents have worn the badge of Sigma Nu on their chest. Sigma Nu develops leaders better than any other fraternity. No NIU student organization offers a four-year leadership development curriculum like Sigma Nu's acclaimed LEAD program.
