* Manpower Award 2008-2009 (awarded to chapters with a 25% or greater growth in membership)

* LEAD Phase 1 Award 2008-2009 (excellence in educational programming for first year members)

*Four-Star Chapter Award 2008-2009 (Sigma Nu was the only chapter amongst our 14 IFC fraternity peers to earn this award - highest award the university can give an NIU fraternity)

2010 "Equity in Diversity" Award winners.

Organization Facts

Headquartered in Lexington, Virginia, Sigma Nu Fraternity was founded in 1869 at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington. Sigma Nu currently has 180 active chapters and colonies on college campuses throughout the United States and Canada, and has initiated over 219,000 members since its founding.
