Sigma Nu is not a "Frat" where guys come to be entertained. Sigma Nu is a fraternity of men, not boys, based on values, not expediency or situational ethics. We are seeking men who are focused on excelling, committed to achievement, and dedicated to honor. Scholarship incentive program for new members based on fall 2011 G.PA.

4.0 - Alpha Award: $1000

3.75 - Rock Award: $750

3.50 - White Rose Award: $500

3.25 - Lexington Award: $375

3.0 - Founders Award: $250

Not everyone has what it takes to meet the standard of Sigma Nu that's what makes this Fraternity unique. While maintaining one of the best social environments on campus, managing one of NIU's fastest growing fraternities and keeping our overall GPA above NIU's all-men's average and within the top 2 of all fraternities, we remain focused on our future and the men we are becoming, but have yet to become. For the Spring 2009 semester Sigma Nu posted a GPA of 2.95, ranking us once again #1 of 15 fraternities and well above the all-mens's GPA of 2.75. Some choose other organizations or none at all because they feel that Sigma Nu is not right for them. Regardless, it is time for you to make your own unique decision.
